In Kenya, most people live by the land.  They farm and they cut down trees for survival.  Unfortunately, due to these conditions, Kenya and much of Africa are losing their forest cover.  Thus, the climate is changing and there are repercussions, including extreme droughts and floodings.

The Africa Conservation Trust, located in Kenya, is helping improve the environment while at the same time, assisting in the social needs of local Africans.  The project involves planting over a billion trees as local farmers become self employed tree growers.  Along with Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, the Trust is developing fast growing and climate adjustable trees and shrubs to be used for medicinal purposes, hardwoods for resale, shrubs for grazing just to name a few of the projects we are involved with.
